Saskatoon snow removal truck snags overhead cables

SASKATOON – A snow removal trucks snagged overhead telecommunication cables causing damages Thursday morning. The incident happened at around 1 a.m. CT, on 33rd Street East and Edward Avenue.

Police say the raised box of the City of Saskatoon vehicle came into contact with cable and phone lines.

No injuries were reported.

Road closures are in effect on 33rd Street between Spadina Crescent and 7th Avenue North while damages are repaired. Police are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
