A man was killed after a collision between a semi and a pickup truck approximately eight kilometres west of Saskatoon Tuesday. Just before 7 p.m. CT, the Saskatoon and Asquith fire departments responded to the crash on Highway 14.
RCMP say the northbound pickup was on a grid road and entered the highway in front of the eastbound semi-trailer unit.
One passenger of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and age have not been released at this time.

There were two other occupants trapped in the pick-up truck. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle with shoring and used the Jaws of Life to remove the victims.
The driver and another passenger were taken to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries.
The semi driver was not injured.
The Saskatoon Fire Department says driving conditions were very treacherous at the time.
A collision analyst and the coroner’s office are assisting with the investigation. RCMP say no alcohol was involved.
