Taxi protest convoy heads to Quebec City

Montreal taxi drivers head to Quebec City to protest what they consider to be "illegal" alternatives.

MONTREAL – About 200 taxis drove to Quebec City on Highway 20 Wednesday morning to take part in a protest in front of the National Assembly.

They left from Galerie d’Anjou and drove towards Quebec City at the minimum speed of 60 km/h.

They arrived in the capital around 10:30 a.m. over the Pierre-Laporte Bridge; where they took up both lanes.
