LAVAL – A 28-year-old Laval man has been arrested for dangerous driving after a police chase turned into a fiery crash.
Laval police were pursuing a car for a traffic violation when the driver led them on a chase to Montreal and back on Highway 19.

He then hit a street lamp, got out of the car and fled on foot.
The man was apprehended shortly afterwards by a police K9 unit.

When officers went back to the vehicle, it was in flames and firefighters were on scene.
The driver was uninjured and faces at least two charges.
