UPDATE: The special weather statement issued by Environment Canada regarding snow forecast for the Okanagan Connector has now been removed.
After heavy snowfall yesterday, more snow is expected to blanket Okanagan mountain passes Sunday.
The Okanagan Connector saw about 20 centimetres of snow since Saturday morning.
Environment Canada has extended its special weather statement for the Okanagan Connector and other local mountain passes—including the Coquihalla and Allison Pass—forecasting up to 15 centimetres to fall.
The heavy snow is expected to taper off into flurries or showers by Sunday afternoon.
