EMSB to hold byelection, cites ‘democratic process’

MONTREAL – The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) has announced it will proceed with plans for a Dec. 13 commissioner byelection in its Côte-Saint-Luc-Hampstead district.

This comes after a bill that aims at halting school board byelections in Quebec passed its first reading in the National Assembly.

The bill was one page long.
