Jeff Buckley unheard music recordings to be released

It’s been almost 20 years since musician Jeff Buckley’s untimely death, but soon fans will get the chance to hear “new” music. Pitchfork reports that an album of recordings, titled You and I, will be released on March 16, 2016.

The songs featured on the album are mostly covers, including a version of Sly and the Family Stone’s Everyday People and Bob Dylan’s Just Like a Woman.

Buckley, widely known as a master songwriter and soulful singer, drowned in the Mississippi River in 1997 at age 30, leaving legions of fans shell-shocked.
