MONTREAL – A man in his 30s is in critical condition after losing control of his car in Ville Saint-Laurent.
Around 2:40 a.m., the driver was heading north on the Henri-Bourassa viaduct over Highway 40 East when he lost control of his vehicle, hit a wall and slipped underneath the guardrail.
“The vehicle fell from the overpass and fell on the service road of Highway 40 East,” explained Jean-Pierre Brabant with Montreal police.

He was transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
“The hypothesis that it looks like to investigators is that alcohol and speed could have been a cause,” said Brabant.
The service road is closed as police investigate.
