CALGARY – An Alberta woman charged with the second-degree murder of her son was granted bail on Monday.
Livia Starlight, 29, of Tsuut’ina Nation was released on $30,000 cash and two $25,000 sureties.

The conditions of her release include abiding by a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, not having alcohol or non-prescription drugs and not entering any bars or liquor stores.
Starlight’s son died in September 2014 after being in hospital for a week.
The case will go straight to trial as the Crown has filed a direct indictment.
It’s anticipated a trial date will be set on Friday.
