Saskatoon police investigating 2 armed robberies

SASKATOON – Police are investigating two more armed robberies in Saskatoon. Both happened Sunday evening, bringing the number of armed robberies in the city to 11 over the past two weeks.

Just after 9 p.m. CT, a man entered a business in the 600-block of 22nd Street West and demanded cash. The employee told police no weapon was shown and he left without getting anything.

The suspect is Caucasian, six-feet tall, wearing a grey jacket and had bandana covering his face.

The second robbery happened just after 11:30 p.m. CT at a business in the 500-block of Cope Way when a man armed with a gun demanded cash.

He then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said no shots were fired.

The suspect is Caucasian, wearing a green hoodie and had a green bandana covering his face.

No arrests have been made in either robbery and police continue to investigate.
