CALGARY- Police are investigating a carjacking in Calgary for the fourth time in a week.

It happened Saturday night on Tarrington Road N.E. when a man in his truck was struck by another vehicle. When he got out, the suspects jumped in and drove off.

Police say there were minor injuries

It follows another carjacking that happened the night before in the northwest.

Investigators said a man approached a woman in the Market Mall parking lot around 9:30 p.m.

Police haven’t confirmed if any weapons were used but said the man claimed to have a gun.

The suspect took off in the woman’s 2003 Chevrolet Venture van. The licence plate number is BHH 5604.

Police said approximately 130 vehicles per week are being stolen in Calgary.
