Investigators probe possible shooting in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH — Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of a weapons complaint in Dartmouth.

Officers were called to the 0-100 block of Cranberry Crescent around 8:30 Friday evening after a caller reported that windows in a residence were damaged from what they believed was a shooting. There were no injuries reported.

A short time later, police arrested four individuals at a traffic stop on Portland Street. After interviewing them, officers released all four people without any charges.

Member of the Halifax Regional Police Forensic Identification Section were back on scene Saturday morning collecting evidence and trying to determine whether or not the damage was from a shooting or another incident.

Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have information about this incident.
