Vernon man killed near Golden

A deadly crash south of Golden Friday claimed the life of a 36-year-old Vernon man.

Michael Swanson was driving a small commercial transport truck on Highway 95 near Parson, when he somehow lost control and rolled down an embankment just before 6 a.m. (MT). No further details on what potentially caused the crash have been released.

Swanson was the only person in the truck. He died on scene.

WorkSafeBC,  the RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are continuing to investigate.
