LETHBRIDGE — Anyone looking for something to do on Tuesday night might want to check out the Lethbridge Lodge where Royal LePage will be hosting its annual Royal Gala to raise funds for the YWCA Harbour House Women’s Shelter.

The 18th annual gala will feature a variety of wine and cheese selections as well as both live and silent auctions. All proceeds will be donated to the YWCA, including the $20 for tickets, which can be purchased at the Royal LePage office, the YWCA building, or right at the door.

“It’s a great event for us to go mix, mingle, meet people and support a great cause all at the same time,” said Manson Kelly, chair of the gala’s committee. “Items range anywhere from $10 items up to thousands of dollars, so it’s a great event for all people and just $20 dollars at the door, it goes directly to the charity.”

Royal LePage started hosting the gala in 1998. Since then it’s raised over $560,000, looking to up that to $640,000 this year.

“The first gala we raised, I think, it was $7,000, and last year I believe we raised $50-some thousand, so we’ve come a long way,” said Leslie Hatfield, who was involved in Royal LePage’s first efforts to raise money for the YWCA.

The gala begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday night and the Lethbridge Lodge is located at 320 Scenic Dr. S.
