“The driver of the car remained on scene and the pedestrian was tended to by an off duty firefighter until Emergency Health Services arrived and transported the man to hospital,” says Cpl. Joe Duncan.

Duncan says witnesses saw the pedestrian, who was dressed in all black, in the middle of the road when he was struck by the motor vehicle.

“The 24-year Saskatoon man was transported to Kelowna General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased,” says Duncan.

Duncan says a detailed scene analysis was conducted by the RCMP, Kelowna Traffic Services and a traffic re-constructionist. RCMP are assisting the B.C. Coroners Service in the investigation.
