It’s that time of year again. Ghouls, witches, dark spirits and “sexy pizza rats” are roaming the streets. And this year, thanks to a surreal Republican presidential race, there’s bound to be a lot more Donald Trumps trick-or-treating.
Ohio artist Jeanette Paras decided to get in on the action.
Paras has been painting giant pumpkins in the likeness of famous figures since 1988. This year she took at stab at creating a “Trumpkin” out of a 374-pound gourd.
“Each year I select a character and sometimes multiple characters that are highly visible in national and international media,” she told NBC affiliate WCMH. “And ‘The Donald’ is everywhere. So that’s why I did Donald Trump!”
It took 10 hours paint the pumpkin, but the most challenging part was perfecting his hair, Paras said.
She used six blond wigs almost a metre long each to fashion the coif.

Paras says her annual pumpkin creations are highly anticipated in her neighbourhood: She only reveals their identities just a few days before Halloween.
“It’s really special to be able to do something that a lot of people think is funny,” she said. “It cracks me up.”
