VERNON – The Canada-wide child exploitation investigation was code-named Operation Snapshot 3.
A Vernon man was snared in the operation and he has now been sentenced after pleading guilty in May to possessing child pornography.

Rylan Keith Sandberg, 46, was handed a 90 day jail term to be served intermittently and 18 months probation.
Sandberg must also submit a DNA sample and pay a $100 victim surcharge fee.

The investigation that began in early 2014 resulted in more than a million child porn pictures and videos being seized with some involving infants.
About 150 arrests were made across the country.
