Top 5 food markets in the world

TORONTO –Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market has been named the
world’s best food market, according to National Geographic.

Founded in 1803, the market once served as city hall in
1834. It now houses more than 120 vendors that provide everything from fresh
fruit and seafood to non-food items and a farmer’s
market on Saturdays.

The historical Toronto landmark beat out New York City’s
Union Square Greenmarket-the only other North American market to make the
international list.
