LAVAL–Barbie’s restaurant in Laval was broken into late Sunday night and an ATM was stolen.
The theft happened around midnight.
The suspects shattered the restaurant’s front windows with their vehicle and quickly loaded up the ATM and fled the scene.
According to Laval police, the getaway car was found a kilometre away from the scene shortly after the incident.
It was badly damaged in the front.
The black Honda Accord was reported stolen back in September. The license plate was also reportedly stolen in another incident in Saint-Eustache.
The ATM was found in the trunk of the car, it was broken and empty.
The car was towed to the Laval police expertise garage and will be analyzed during the day said police spokesperson Avelyne Boudreau.
No word yet on how much was stolen nor on the extent of damage the restaurant suffered.
