Lockdown at Brampton Centennial lifted after call of man with weapon ‘unfounded’

TORONTO – A lockdown at Brampton Centennial Secondary School has been lifted after police received an anonymous call about a man armed with a weapon Monday morning.

After a lengthy investigation, police determined the call was “unfounded.”

Peel Regional Police said a hold and secure at Bishop Francis Allen School was also removed.

Police said they checked every area of Brampton Centennial, including the exterior and interior of the building, to ensure the safety of students, staff and teachers.
