WINNIPEG — Police have a person in custody after an hours long standoff in the city’s East Elmwood area.
Multiple units, including the tactical response team, arrived at a townhouse complex on Keeleyside St. at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

They were there until mid-morning.
Police haven’t said why they were there or how many people were inside the building but have confirmed no one was hurt and one individual is being held in custody.
