Quebec-born woman wins Israeli talent show “The Voice”

JERUSALEM – A young woman from Canada has been declared the winner of an Israeli talent show.

Israeli media outlets are reporting Kathleen Reiter came out on top on the first season of Israel’s talent show “The Voice” Saturday night.

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the 23-year-old Reiter grew up with her Israeli-born parents in Quebec.

She speaks English, French and Hebrew and moved to Israel after visiting last summer.

The show is based on the successful American series that premiered last year, and the Israeli version has received high ratings in its first season.

She auditioned for the show singing Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” and made it to the final by singing in English and Hebrew.
