Campbell was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 14 years; Henry was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 12 years.

Campbell cried in court Wednesday, reading a statement that said in part:
“Don’t look at me like a murderer…I made a terrible mistake.
“Please find it in your hearts to forgive me, I’m not a cold blooded murderer. If I could give my life…I would.”
Campbell apologized to a long list of people, including Herrera Garcia’s family, her own family, and Calgarians.
“I should have never taken part in what happened,” she said. “There’s not enough words to express how sincerely sorry I am.”
A third man accused in the beating, Garrett Smith, 29, was previously acquitted.
All three suspects were strangers.
Garcia was attacked and beaten to death on May 23, 2012 in the Beltline community as he walked home with groceries.
