Anthony Rota resoundling recaptured his former riding of Nipissing-Timiskaming for the Liberals.
This was among the most hotly contested ridings in the entire province; Conservative MP Jay Aspin defeated the three-term Liberal incumbent Rota by just 18 votes in 2011—and the two faced off again this year.

This riding saw only minor boundary changes in this election, although redistributed results would have given Rota a 36-vote win in 2011.
Aspin and Rota both previously served as city councillors in North Bay.
