UPDATE: Pedestrian, 65, struck by vehicle at Saskatoon intersection dies

SASKATOON – Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Saskatoon on Saturday. At around 8:50 a.m. CT, officers were called to the intersection of 8th Street and Broadway Avenue.

A 65-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the intersection northbound was struck by a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn to travel east on 8th Street, according to investigators.

MD Ambulance transported the pedestrian to hospital with critical injuries.

The collision analyst unit will investigate further. It is not known at this time whether or not charges will be laid.
