Joni Mitchell is on the mend, according to a friend’s Facebook post. Folk singer Judy Collins reported the “good news” Wednesday morning.

“I have just heard from a close mutual friend that Joni is walking, talking, painting some, doing much rehab every day, and making good progress,” Collins wrote.

“I will try my best to see our songbird when I am in LA in the coming weeks.”

JoniMitchell.com, as well as Mitchell’s official Twitter account, also posted Collins’ update.

The 71-year-old iconic Canadian musician was hospitalized back in March, after she was found unconscious at her home. Shortly after she was admitted she was reported to be in intensive care in a Los Angeles hospital, “but awake and in good spirits.”
