Bell Centre gets $100 million facelift

MONTREAL – The Bell Centre is getting a $100 million facelift.

Habs principal owner Geoff Molson announced some of the improvements Wednesday.

They’ll include new video screens, wider corridors and better wi-fi access.

Outside, Montreal Canadiens Avenue will become a pedestrian-only street.

There will also be a new glass entrance to the arena that some are already predicting will be “spectacular.”

The renovations will take three years to finish.

It’s the first major renovation since the Bell Centre opened in 1996.
