MONTREAL – Canada Post customers in Montreal can now have their purchases delivered within hours of placing their online order.
The same-day delivery service is called Delivered Tonight.
Customers of local fashion retailers Frank & Oak, SSENSE as well as Eros et Compagnie can place an online order by early afternoon, and Canada Post will deliver the items to their home between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The project only works with retailers who have Montreal-based warehouses.
It’s up to the company to prepare the package for shipping.
Then, Canada Post just has to pick it up and deliver it to the client.

The same-day delivery service has been operating in the Greater Toronto Area since 2013, and in Vancouver since last year.
Expanding to Montreal opens up the service to an additional 2.2 million people, growing the total number to about 8.5 million people across the country.

“As the company that delivers two out of three parcels ordered online, we want to continue to introduce services that offer consumers the control and convenience they want in their delivery experience,” said René Desmarais, Senior Vice-President of Parcels at Canada Post.
“We learned a lot from our experiences in Toronto and Vancouver and we’re looking forward to bringing more merchants on board in Montreal.”
Canada Post confirmed it is working with other local companies to implement the Delivered Tonight program.
