DHX Media inks television content agreement with Netflix in United States

HALIFAX – Children’s television program producer DHX Media Ltd. (TSX:DHX) has signed a content agreement with Netflix in the United States, the company said Tuesday.

The deal, for which financial details were not disclosed, will have several of the company’s TV shows available to stream on Netflix’s Internet subscription services.

Included in the agreement are DHX-produced programs “Franny’s Feet,” “Bo On The Go!” and “Mighty Jungle.”

“Digital audiences are growing significantly and we anticipate increasing demand for kids’ content which is ideally suited to on-demand delivery,” said Josh Scherba, senior vice president of distribution.

“We look forward to building our partnership with Netflix as we augment our presence in this new distribution channel for entertainment content.”

DHX Media, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angles and London as well as Halifax, has produced over 40 original television series and maintains a library of animation and live-action programming.
