Customs agents protest at Trudeau airport

MONTREAL – Anyone taking a flight out of Trudeau airport may want to get there a little earlier than usual.

Around 300 customs agents walked out at 11 a.m. Thursday to protest the lack of security at border crossings.

The group said it is against a new measure that will soon come into effect that allows some travellers coming into Canada from the U.S. to go through customs on the phone.

They are also protesting against the electronic terminals at Canadian airports.
