CALGARY – The Red Cross and Calgary Emergency Management Agency will be assisting four people forced from their Rundle home by a fire.
The blaze broke out in the 200 block of Rundleview Drive N.E. at around 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived to find thick black smoke pouring from the single-storey home.
Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the room where it originated, and help a resident living in the basement get out safely.
The house sustained significant smoke damage, forcing the four people who live there to look for alternate accommodation.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
