CALGARY – RCMP have arrested one woman thought to be connected to a brazen armed robbery in Airdrie last week.
It happened at the One Stop Smoke Shop at around 4:45 p.m. on September 11.
Police say a woman with a gun threatened the store clerk and demanded money. She made off with cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Friday, RCMP announced Mellissa Anne Ruetz, 26, of Medicine Hat had been arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm.
Investigators have also issued a warrant for a man thought to be her accomplice. Julian Conrad Morris is also facing a charge of robbery with a firearm.
Ruetz has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on September 24, 2015.
