Breaking up is always hard to do, but doing it publicly can make it sting even more.
Pakistani man Asif Raza Rana posted a splashy photo collage on Facebook with the caption “I DECLARE THAT I LEFT MY PAST BEST FRIEND #MUDASIR_ISMAIL_AHMAD [sic].” Two bright green Xs drawn over pictures of Ahmed illustrate the end of their tumultuous friendship.
The government worker goes on to explain that Mudasir Ismail Ahmed had become “very selfish” and “proudy [sic]” and that now, Salman Ahmad Naqash, a model, is his new best friend.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Rana said that Naqash was always willing to compromise whereas Ahmed was not.
Ahmed has not publicly responded to the breakup, but comments on his Facebook page suggest that there is more to the story than meets the eye.
A photo of Rana and Ahmed together during the good times has caused many to urge the old friends to work it out.
Rana promised to upload a video in the coming days explaining what went wrong in the friendship.
