SASKATOON – A man is dead after being struck by a half-ton truck north of 71st Street on Wanuskewin Road. According to a police news release, the pedestrian was walking southbound on Wanuskewin Road before he was hit.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle.
At this time, the driver is not under arrest and alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Wanuskewin Road was closed for around five hours while Saskatoon police carried out their investigation.
