Ongoing feud between Oklahoma neighbours turns violent, sends one to hospital

A long-time feud between two neighbours in Tulsa, Oklahoma turned violent when a man ran over his next door neighbour while she was jogging last Saturday.

The suspect, identified as Stanley Majors, has been arrested for violating a protective order and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to a police report, Majors called the Lebanese woman and her family explicit and insensitive names based on their race.

The victim’s family, who remained unidentified, filed a protective order against Majors in 2013. The order states Majors would knock on their window at night and has a history of being racist towards those of colour and foreigners.

Majors also filed a protective order against the woman and her family, claiming they stalked, harassed and blackmailed him.

“I think it’s quite heinous that someone would deliberately run down another neighbour,” she added.

The victim’s family didn’t speak to News On 6 but did release a statement that read in part: “This is unfortunately a very difficult time for our family. Our thoughts and prayers are focused on our mother’s speedy recovery.”

The woman remains in hospital with multiple head injuries and broken bones.
