Investigation into Peter Bryden case inconclusive: Fredericton Police

FREDERICTON – Police say an investigation into what happened to Peter Bryden is inconclusive.

The husband and father was found just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, along Douglas Avenue on the Fredericton’s north side. Police said at the time that a resident found Bryden and called 911.

The 46-year-old suffered a serious head injury. He had been attending the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival earlier in the evening.

Fredericton Police say the investigation has included extensive interviews, neighborhood canvassing, and forensic analysis, but the findings have been inconclusive.

“As a result, this file has been rendered inactive, however not closed pending further information that may shed new light on the investigation,” said Alycia Bartlett, police spokesperson, in a release.

Police are still asking if anyone has information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
