CALGARY – Search and rescue crews are hoping to locate a 19-year-old Calgary man who went missing while hiking in B.C. over the weekend.
An emergency spot beacon was activated near Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park at around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to RCMP, police believe that the hiker may have been swept over the Twin Falls waterfall.
Parks Canada conducted both aerial and ground searches for the hiker on Sunday, but weren’t able to locate him.

Search and rescue efforts are expected to presume on Monday.
Takakkaw Falls is located about 200 km west of Calgary, near Field B.C.
