CALGARY – RCMP were called to the scene of a pedestrian collision on Highway 1 near Range Road 260 at around 1:25 a.m. Sunday morning.
When officers arrived, a 40-year-old Calgary man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was wearing dark clothing and was walking in the east bound travelling lane of Highway 1 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The family of the man killed has requested that his name not be released.
RCMP say an investigation is on going, however, at this time there are no indications of any illegal driving activity.
