SASKATOON – A teen wanted on a Canada-wide warrant is in custody. The 17-year-old was arrested by Saskatoon police following a suspicious person complaint that forced a brief lockdown of some schools.

The complaint came in around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when someone reported seeing a man with a firearm inside a vehicle in the 2200-block of Rusholme Road.

Schools in that block along with the 400-block of Avenue T North were placed in a perimeter lockdown.

Members of the school resource unit found the man in a nearby parking lot. He was arrested with incident.

A firearm was not found. Police continue to search for the vehicle and its driver.
