CALGARY – A customer who had left behind a big tip when paying for their purchase at a Calgary bakery will be getting their money back.
Sidewalk Citizen Bakery had been searching for the customer since Saturday, when they left behind a $525 tip while paying with debit.
Staff at the bakery presumed the generous gesture was an error, and posted a message on their Facebook page asking for the anonymous tipper to come forward to get a refund.

“We’re good, but not that good,” read the post.
Initially the company suggested they had contacted the bank, who “could not refund it since it’s a debit.” However, on Tuesday staff posted that RBC would issue a refund after all.
