REGINA – Three people are facing drug and weapon charges after police pulled over a vehicle in North Central Regina on Wednesday.
Police came across a disturbance in the 1100 block of Rae Street . One officer approached the vehicle and a noticed that the driver was trying to reach for something under his seat, allegedly a firearm.
A search of the vehicle led police to find a sawed off shotgun, ammunition and other bladed weapons as well as a small amount of crystal meth.
Officers arrested three people without incident.
25-year-old Garett Edward Nameth of Regina is facing a total of 10 charges including Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Scheduled Substance.
27-year-old Jennifer Michelle Nicholls and 31-year-old Tara Sky Yahyahkeekoot were also charged with Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a Motor vehicle.
