Man taken to Saskatoon hospital after stabbing

SASKATOON – A second stabbing in a three-hour period has sent a man to a Saskatoon hospital. Police were called to the 1400-block of 22nd Street West just before 4 a.m. on Monday

Officers arrived to find an injured man in an alley.

He was taken to hospital with what police believe to be non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the targeted enforcement team are investigating and attempting to establish the man’s identity.

It was the second time within three hours police were called to a stabbing in same block.

A woman was taken to hospital just after 1 a.m. with what police say are serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say there does not appear to be a connection between the two stabbings.
