Wanted man flees from Mounties near Yorkton, Sask.

RCMP are renewing their call to try and find William Crawford who is wanted by RCMP in both the Yorkton and Prince Albert area.

YORKTON, Sask. – A man wanted by police in two Saskatchewan communities has eluded police. Mounties spotted William Charles Crawford near Yorkton Thursday morning.

Officers chased the vehicle he was in but stopped following him due to safety considerations.

He was last seen driving a red Chevrolet Equinox with Saskatchewan license plate 561 JVZ.

Police say Crawford may have weapons with him and should not be approached.

Crawford is wanted in Prince Albert for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and failing to comply with an undertaking.

He is awaiting disposition in Yorkton on trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and weapons charges.

Crawford is approximately six-feet, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone spotting Crawford or the vehicle he was driving should call 911 in an emergency, their nearest police detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
