EDMONTON — STARS air ambulance was called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision south of Edmonton Thursday morning.
One person was seriously injured when the two vehicles collided on Highway 2A, about six kilometres south of Leduc at Township Road 490.
The crash happened at approximately 10 a.m.
The intersection near the hamlet of Kavanagh was closed in both directions and traffic was being diverted. The road was expected to be closed for several hours.

The highway was open again by 3:40 p.m.
