MONTREAL – A 37-year-old woman is dead after being struck and killed on Saint-Denis Street early Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 1:45 a.m.
“She was crossing Saint-Denis Street between Mount-Royal and Bienville – between two intersections,” said Anie Lemieux with Montreal police.
“A first vehicle going north avoided her. She continued crossing the street and was hit by a car going south.”
After the impact, the woman landed on the other side of the street and was struck by another vehicle.
The woman’s body got stuck underneath the car and crews were called to help lift the vehicle to release her.
She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The drivers involved were treated for shock.
Investigators are meeting with witnesses to find out what happened.
