Brandon city council will be presented with options and cost estimates in late-September. A public information/consultation period will then follow later in the fall with a final plan expected in December, according to a release from the city of Brandon.

Some of the options for the future of the bridge include retrofitting the structure into a shared pathway for cyclists and pedestrians, return to use by passenger vehicles to fully reconstructing a new bridge in the same location.
