MONTREAL – If you’re planning an off-Island trip this weekend, The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) suggest you plan ahead.

The Jacques Cartier Bridge will have one lane open in each direction until Monday at 5 a.m. The closure will allow workers to paint the steel under-carriage of the bridge located above the the St-Lawrence Seaway.

Closures on the Mercier Bridge are also planned until Monday 5 at a.m. with only one lane in each direction open. The Montreal-bound access ramp in La Prairie will be completely closed as deck replacement work is finalized.

Work to install traffic lights on the Champlain Bridge was scheduled to be completed by Saturday morning.
