A wildlife advocacy group has a warning about the use of traps to capture unwanted critters in your backyard.
The Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals released a video of a young female skunk caught in a trap in Delta.
The traps are designed to capture a wandering animal and snap its neck.
That did not happen in this case.
The animal was rescued and is expected to make a full recovery.
The association says this recent incident is an alarming trend and they want the Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources Steve Thomson to take action.
