Last Election: This is a new seat created from Delta-Richmond East (which elected Conservative MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay by 31 per cent in 2011) and Newton-North Delta (which elected NDP MP Jinny Sims by 2 per cent in 2011).

History: The western part of the riding has been part of districts that have always elected right-wing candidates. However, North Delta has been part of ridings that have supported all of the major parties.
