Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said Tuesday that the United States' plan to launch tariffs "in a series of trade actions against Canada "is in violation of CUSMA" —Canada's trade agreement with the US and Mexico." He said he spoke to President Donald Trump in the morning and the two agreed "to intensify negotiations in the coming week," adding that the prime minister "looks forward to doing that.'
